Help needed with strobe lights... - Steve's Digicams Forums

One is the P2000D power pack the other is the 800M. When I tried hooking them up with a sync cord (the same way I do with my Novatron's) I couldn't get my camera to trigger the flash. So I got a Wein micro slave to try. The camera will now trigger the flash heads but... there must be a sync problem because the photos come out way under exposed. I'm getting better exposure with no flash at the same settings. Beyond that, I'm assuming that the you're using the Wein Micro Slave as an optical trigger....

Tuesday night, I went to a Bright Eyes show at an outdoor amphitheater. The opening act had finished, and the crowd of skinny-legged teenagers stood in line to buy t-shirts, off of which they immediately cut the sleeves. Elsewhere, one could get a shot of Scotch and a tall Highlife for $9. I was feeling pretty good when I got back to the seating area. That’s when I saw the Bald Man. He sat to the front and the right of me, and he was one of the mid-thirties fashionably bald, with those thick-rimmed glasses. In the seat beside him, he had a Timbuktu messenger bag, open, filled papers and books and Highlites. Leaning back, legs crossed, New Yorker in his hand. Since I’ve been in Kentucky, I’ve almost been tackled by deer while jogging; I’ve chased feral cats out of my house with a broom; I’ve bit my tongue while people complained about their diabesity; but I haven’t seen one person reading. Unreal. Bright Connor Oberst took the stage to the sound of standing hurrahs, but the Bald Man just uncapped his pen and circled some paragraph. The first song started. My foot tapped wildly. The kids behind me grew giddy and loud. The guy moved a few more seats down. Second song: lick of the fingers, turn of the page. Four Winds broke with hell yeahs. The setting sun swayed. He could have been a Navy Seal, he kept his composure so well. Even in grad school, I couldn’t have sat through a concert with a Dr. Seuss book and a pen. So I have to ask all of you who subscribe–what could that article have been? Something from the summer fiction issue?
